"I did gay jokes. I did rape jokes. Comedians, who are terrible people, prize the jokes you know you shouldn’t make, and I subscribed to that idea as well. That I always was a fairly liberal guy was hardly an excuse. In fact, that probably only made things worse because I tacitly believed that I had more permission to joke because I was on the “good” side of things. Anyone who was offended was being unreasonable. TRIGGERED. You’ll hear that word a lot from white dudes on the internet who believe no one else ever has the right to be upset about anything."
